1. Would you please introduce yourself?

My names is Annija Alžāne, I am CEO and Founder of Latvian company SIA NuWaters- my company started in 2019 with Icelandic glacier water Aqua Angels – it’s a bottle to door service with 11.3l glass barells. In 2020 I started to work with some 0% alchohol drinks, and in 2021, I met VINADA Brand and we started VINADA in The Baltics!

2. What is your passion?

My first passion is starting and growing (new) business projects. Especially projects that are new and not similar to others. That’s what I like about the alcohol free category. My second passion is traveling – I love to see new places and meet new people. Last but not least, I am passionate about sports- especially horse riding and boxing.

3. Why did you start this company?

I started my company as a drinking water concept company, but in some time I realized that I need to extend and decided to move on to the new worldwide trend: 0% alcoholic beverages. I see a bright future for this category.

4. Why did you choose VINADA®, besides the taste?

The new design just made me fall in love with the bottle – as it’s so feminine and aestetic and, of course, the taste! It’s the only 0% sparkling wine brand with such a nice packaging – VINADA is an example for other brands who are in this business!

5. What do you expect from the Alcohol Free market?

I expect that it will grow and be as popular as the alcohol market in a some years, as many researches tell us that more and more people prefer not to drink alcohol.

6. Do you prefer an evening with alcohol or you rather prefer to go alcohol-free? 

As I am a total champagne lover – I now have my alternative sparkling wine VINADA, so, since May, I am a totally alcohol-free person.

7. What is your favorite ‘dare to’ quote?

It’s definitely DARE TO SPARKLE. And it should be a motto in real life!:)

8. What is your dream?

My main dream is to build my company in the Baltic markets. After that, I can think about some hobbies and leisure time.

9. What do you like doing in your spare time? 

Most of all I like to spend my time playing sports, traveling and learn something new and interesting.

10. What should we definitely visit when we visit your country?

First of all, visit Riga, the old city. It’s filled with magical small streets and Latvian cuisine. There are also:

• Zemgale-Rundales palace and the area around - It’s a magic place with beautiful views;

• Latgale - all the most beautiful lakes are based here;

• Kurzeme - the sea side and the beaches;

• The Cape of Kolka - the place where the sea meets the bay of The Baltic sea.
