Blog #20: VINADA Wines Takes Taiwan by Storm

 

“Would you like to join us for dinner in Taipei?”

This is the question that Chris van Spaendonck, VINADA’s Export Manager, was asked by our Distributor in Taiwan. 

VINADA keeps expanding business in Asia, where we are now happy to serve our premium non-alcoholic wines to even more customers in Taiwan, at establishments such as Kang Yuan Restaurant.

Kang Yuan Restaurant, a popular restaurant in Taipei, is one of VINADA’s customers in the capital of Taiwan. We didn’t need much convincing to accept the invitation, and before we knew it, Chris was en route to Taipei.

Formerly catering exclusively to government workers, Kang Yuan Restaurant has recently opened its doors to the general public. Now, anyone who is lucky enough to secure a reservation has the opportunity to enjoy the high quality food offered by this Taiwanese culinary haven.

Upon his arrival to Kang Yuan Restaurant, Chris was generously served a first class dinner, alongside a glass of VINADA. Several of our wines were carefully selected and paired with traditional Taiwanese foods by a panel of food and beverage experts. These pairings were used to craft a one-of-a-kind menu, featuring a selection of VINADA’s non-alcoholic wines that were complemented by authentic Taiwanese foods. The menu recommendations received high praise from esteemed sommeliers and bar managers across Taiwan.
